Information Systems (IS) compliance is one of the main challenges for the IT governance. Not only because IS compliance is difficult to implement and maintain, but also because the investment for IS compliance is very heavy. Companies could pursue two different behaviours: the compliance view considers IS compliance as a duty and the cost to implement it as necessary; the governance view considers IS compliance like an opportunity for improving the quality of administrative processes and accounting information systems, and its cost as an investment able to produce important returns for the company.
