Based on the results of a research concerning the size and the dynamics of the high-tech service and industrial sector in Genoa, the paper develops some general remarks about: the specificity of relational capital in an area where the knowledge is becoming a productive and competitive key factor; the territorial marketing tools that can increase the availability of relational capital.
