Vari aspetti dell'outsourcing logistico in ambito supply chain

The transformation of the global market forced enterprises to face new challenges and to search and develop new business models able to improve business earnings and to answer to the prices dynamics. To defend their strategic position, companies have been more and more adopting vertical integration of their core business activities and horizontal decentralization for other activities, aiming to improve performance and reduce costs. Also logistics have been decentralized, both for its complexity requiring special managerial skills, and for the role it plays in the value creation. This paper aims to analyse the outsourcing of logistics, particularly regarding transport activity.
